The people behind the Collective

Kairos Collective is a circle of specialists rather than a single firm. Who is in that circle, what they have actually run, and where they have built it.

Hands, a tablet and printed charts during a working session

The Collective's founders have lived, worked, and built relationships across Canada, the United States, the Middle East, India, Europe, and parts of Africa — in healthcare, insurance, and business. That's genuine global reach, not a slide claim — we don't advise from the outside, we open doors from the inside, wherever the opportunity is.

The circle

Who is in the Collective

Four kinds of people make up the circle. An engagement draws on whichever of them the question actually needs, which is why the answer to "who will I be working with" changes from one piece of work to the next.

  • Strategists

People who have sat with the decision you are facing and had to live with their own answer to it. They work on what to do next and what would have to be true for it to hold.

  • Operators

People who have run the function rather than advised on it. They know what a plan costs in practice, how long it really takes, and the point where this kind of plan usually breaks.

  • Investors

People who see a version of your decision most weeks. They can tell you how a raise will read from the other side of the table while there is still time to change it.

  • Industry insiders

People with standing in a sector or a market. They know who returns a call, who carries weight with the people you need, and who will be candid when the answer is no.

Depth

What they have built, and where

The Collective describes its reach by the places its members have actually worked, because that is the only kind of reach that does anything for you.

Who you meet first

Julie James

Every enquiry reaches Julie, and she is the one who decides which part of the Collective a question belongs to. Two decades across Dubai and Canada, in healthcare and insurance, are what the rest of the circle was built out from.

Members are introduced one at a time, when a question calls for them. A network used indiscriminately stops working, and that discipline protects the person receiving an introduction as much as the person asking for one.

How it works

Built from the inside

Knowing who returns the call

Plenty of firms can produce a list of contacts in a market. What a list cannot tell you is who returns a call, who is credible with the people you actually need, and who will be candid with you when the answer is no.

That knowledge only comes from having worked somewhere. That is why the Collective describes its reach by where its members have actually worked.

Why a good introduction matters

A good piece of advice tells you what to do. A good introduction puts you in front of the person who can help you do it, with their attention already earned.

Introductions are made selectively for exactly that reason. A network used indiscriminately stops working, and the discipline protects the people receiving the introduction as much as the people making it.

Where the depth ends

Sector depth sits where the Collective's members have built careers: healthcare, insurance, cybersecurity and business services. Geographic depth sits across Canada, the United States, the Middle East, India, Europe and parts of Africa.

Outside those, we will say so. Being clear about the edge of what we know well is part of what makes the rest worth relying on.

Tell us who you need to reach

Name the market and the kind of person you need in the room, and we will tell you whether the Collective has them.
